A vLBV300 was recently used on a pipe lay inspection in New Caledonia , using a Gemini multibeam and tracking the vlbv assisted in touchdown monitoring and pipe placement and also assisted with support for anchor operations and placement. The vLBV300 handled the strong currents in the channel with ease and combined with the Tritech Gemini Multibeam allowed accurate monitoring of the pipe placement in the narrow corridor allowed .The vLBV was then used to place extra weights on the existing pipeline monitoring block placement and then disconnecting the crane

In December 2014 the Catlin Seaview Survey Deep Team reurned to some of the long term monitoring sites to recover their Data loggers placed there 2 years prior in up to 100m of water . Using the Vlbv300 we recovered all 9 Loggers spread over various parts of the Far Northern Great Barrier Reef . Even though they were covered in a large amount of growth we were able to find and recover all the loggers intact .

In June 2014 SeaBotix USA and SeaBotix Australia were proud to support the AE2 Foundation with the project to insert an rov inside the AE2 and record some interesting images of the inside of a 100 year old submarine .A vLBV300 was used to assist in positioning of the dive support frame and then place the large anodes around the sub and then gather the images from inside .
